Batucada do Leste proudly presents it's 2007 Enredo "Homenagem" (Tribute). This year's enredo is based on a traditional Ashkenaz melody of 'Mizmor L'David' (Psalm 23) which has been adapted to fit our rolling batucada grooves.
Homenagem a very special tribute to all the loved ones we have lost and a special tribute to Carlos Aceituno and Malonga Casquelourd as well. Sages teach that there is no greater love than paying tribute to someone that has passed on. Why? Because its done only out of love--those folks can never repay us in this world. Homenagem is deeply connected to this year's Carnaval SF theme 'Love Happens.'
