Our Instruments
Our batucada's unique sound features a number of instruments imported directly from Brasil and several that we have built ourselves. This year we have an additional cultural arts focus in which we are building drums using traditional materials and techniques. In the sprit of our 2010 Enredo - O Mundo we are also restoring and enhancing a number of instruments.
The class is held every week at 3pm after regular rehearsals. The location is just down the block on 47th and Doyle. The class is free for all attendees. Please contact us by email to participate.
